New Norma hunting ammo
I am seeing more and more companies coming out with polymer tipped ammo for hunting. The benefits from what I can tell are rapid expansion of the bullet, and a controlled penetration with significant weight retention.

Norma's new brand called "Tipstrike" and according to their press release, it seems to line up with the benefits above:

At the heart of the TIPSTRIKE design is a polymer tip that ensures expansion and gives a devastating shock effect due to the construction of the bullet jacket. To maintain a high weight retention, the jacket is reinforced with a mechanical lock, thus making TIPSTRIKE an outstanding bullet for shots where an immediate stop is crucial.
Quote:“TIPSTRIKE is a great all-around hunting cartridge that is designed to deliver a clean kill on even the toughest of big game,” said Paul Lemke, General Manager for RUAG Ammotec USA. “With the perfect combination of enhanced penetration and delayed expansion, TIPSTRIKE ensures that hunters across the country won’t have to spend time tracking wounded game this fall.”
