This is "Old Trusty" my Tristar Viper G2 in camo. It's a 12 Gauge in 3" and has been my primary hunting shotgun since 2012. I bought it while stationed at PMRF, Kauai Hawaii for around $300 bucks. Many of you may have seen pictures of it when I had the "California Legal" stock on it. It came with the pistol grip stock and I was glad to put it back on. I've hunted in the snow, tropics, desert and woodland with it and it's never failed me. It's claimed multiple Turkey, Pheasant, Coyotes and Ducks. Now that I've purchased my Beretta A300 12 Gauge for Pheasants and Ducks, the Tristar will be a dedicated Turkey Gun.

This season I hunted with Hevi-Shot Magnum Blend but next season I will be using Winchester Longbeard XR #6 as it pattered better out to 50 yards.

Nice setup. I'm running the same gun but 410... I had to see what all the 410 hype was about and after counting 220+ pellets in a 10" circle at 40 yards I'm giving my SBE a vacation this spring.

Wish you could still pick the G2 up for under $400... I'd buy a 12 too.

Thank you. I bought the Viper G2 for a little under $300. Knowing what I know now, I would have bought a couple of them Smile

This is a 40 yard group. Patternmaster Black Cloud with Longbeard XR #6.
