Favorite Type of Hunting : I've hunted most everything edible that walks or flies in the Lower 48 but still like elk hunting best of all.

Getting too old though to wilderness camp, ride horses into the high ranges, get snowed on and freeze my a$$ off and then pack out quarters of meat to the camp. As the old saying goes around elk camp, 'the real work starts when the animal goes down.' High country elk hunting is a young man's game. The highest we could get our pickups and horse trailers to was 6,300 feet and we hunted at elevations between 8,500 - 12,300. Not much air up there if you're a smoker. ;-)

Now, I enjoy banging steel at tactical long-range precision shooting matches (out to 1,800 yards). Nap's always on the lookout for the Vihtavuori powders I prefer to reload with.

Other hunts I still enjoy...prairie dog shoots and Argentina dove hunting.
