Tennessee and yes it was a blast. We couldn’t weigh the whole thing but it was about 7ft at the top of the back and we weighed the head which was 300lb by itself.

It was. They have several properties that are a couple thousand acres each some are on the mountain and some have fields and ravines. I watched a group for a day and then put a stalk on them the next day.

I used my 270 but was also carrying a crossbow just wasn’t able to have a get a comfortable shot on such a massive animal to use the bow. The end result was a 50 yard shot and two rounds in the shoulder. I like quick and humane kills. Went about 40 yards and he was done.
