Yeah I've got no desire to bow hunt them unless I'm in a stand sitting over bait. You wont catch me on the ground without a rifle.

Yeah they usually run.  USUALLY.  I would rather not take the chance on the one that decides not to run away.  When they come busting out of thick brush it is like a train going through

In Germany a "saufeder" lance was a traditional hunting tool for boar. The young lady who posted the video is from Czech Republic and is a strong advocate for huntin rights and game management. Team Wild Hunting on YouTube is a channel where she has a nice roebuck hunting video posted.

We also used to carry a .45 and not go anywhere near a downed boar for an hour after he was shot. My partner lost a blood hound to a wounded boar three years ago.

This was my first boar. It was a 120lb barren sau, just the kind we wanted to take that day. It was my first drive hunt and it was with my good friend and hunting partner Jürgen in his lease.

Gotta give the thing credit, it didn't go out with a whimper. Great video.

I agree, it was a great shot too. From what I could see, it looked a little behind the heart, but definitely lunged.
